I would like to clarify my post from yesterday regarding the letters of intent for Crown Tournament.

Their Majesties are requiring that the letters along with the requested documentations be mailed to them via postal mail. They will *not* be accepting them electronically. They must be received by March 20, 2010 (not postmarked, but received). I mistakenly typed March 21 yesterday.

THL Sajah, the Kingdom List Minister, and I will accept electronic copies as long as they are complete including clear copies of the cards. We must receive any electronic copies by 11:59pm on March 20th for them to be accepted.

We've converted several helmets around here to leather suspensions. I've been using one for ten years or so, and I don't know how y'all put up with having your heads packed in foam.

Excessive Blows happen in a contact game like ours. Sometimes on purpose, most times not. I have had my overly fair share of injuries over the years from excessive blows. It happens.
But my concern was and is, am I going to have to deliver a near excessive blow to beat an opponent. I don't like doing that. I see many more guys these days favoring heavy, brain crushing blows, instead of a clean, well delivered, moderate force blow.
Lets be honest. This because of Lazy Fighting. Poor training. Lack of consistent practice. Over stuffed egos.
You don't have to be honest with your opponent, but if you have any kind of chivalrous conscience, one day, you'll have to be honest with your self about all your poor performances on the field.

I can't say that I've ever done ballet so I'm not familiar with how the balance works there. I'm sure there are many different stances depending on what style of fencing you are using. If you are just going for a basic stance, I usually stand with my front foot and back foot comfortably spread about 2.5 to 3 foot lengths from each other. My back foot turned about 45 degrees and my front foot about 4 inches over so that my back heal and front heal aren't in line with each other. Simply because if rushed I back up into myself. Make sure your knees are bent comfortably, but don't sponge your knee's. You want to make sure that your weight distribution is about 50/50. I hope this helps.
